DIABETES CLINIC

In addition to ordinary routine appointments the practice also provides the following specialised clinics:

  • Minor Surgery
  • Ante-natal Clinics

Chronic Disease Clinics

The practice nurses run clinics for the management and review of patients with the following conditions:

  • Hypertension - High blood pressure
  • Ischaemic Heart Disease - Heart Attack and angina
  • Asthma
  • COPD - Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
  • Diabetes
  • Stroke

If you suffer from any of these conditions you will receive an invitation to attend the clinic annually during the month of your birthday. The clinics are run at various times throughout the week.

 

Medicines and Dehydration patient information

This guide is about what actions to take if you develop an illness that causes dehydration.  These actions are called "medicine sick day rules"

Taking certain medicines when you are dehydrated can result in you developing a more serious illness. The ‘Medicine Sick Day Rules’ card lists medicines that should be temporarily stopped during a dehydrating illness.
