Isobel Robertson, Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner, works directly in the Practice every Wednesday & Thursday. 

Isobel is the first point of contact and can assess, diagnose and plan the management of adults (age 15 or over) with musculoskeletal conditions including onward referral to secondary care services if necessary.

Musculoskeletal conditions include:

Spinal neck / thoracic / low back pain /  Sciatica or disc problems / arm pain from neck /  osteoporosis

Upper Limb shoulder pain / frozen shoulder /  sub-acromial impingement / rotator cuff /  AC joint / elbow pain /  tennis elbow /  golfer elbow / wrist and hand pain /  dequervains /  carpal tunnel syndrome /  trigger fingers /  Osteoarthritis of thumb and fingers

Lower Limb hip pain /  trochanteric bursitis / Osteoarthritis hip /  groin strain /  knee pain / sprain /  bursitis /  patella femoral problems / Osteoarthritis knee /  ankle pain /  sprain /  tendinitis / plantar fasciitis / arch pain / hallux valgus /  metatarsalgia.

General soft tissue injury /  sprain / strain / repetitive strain /  sport injury / possible problem with muscle, ligament, tendon joint bone or bursa / arthritis / patients whose mobility has changed and needs assessed / patients who are post-orthopaedic surgery and needs advice or assessment / hypermobility
